CENTRAL BUDAPEST LOCATION


The hotel is located in the city centre at 2 Trefort street, and is accessible by car. It is an excellent location for visiting the city. Closest underground station Astoria is just a 3-minute walk away. Roller sharing station can be found on the corner of the building.

For nature lovers, we recommend taking a break in one of the nearby green oases, the Hungarian National Museum’s garden (100 m), which frequently organises free concerts, or the wonderful playground at Károlyi Kert park (300 m), where people often go for picnics on the grass.

The National Museum

Steps from the hotel you can visit the National Museum, founded about 200 years ago, symbol of the national identity because it is the place where the Revolution and the Independence War broke out in 1848.

Beyond the permanent exhibitions about history and the archeological collections of the one thousand years long Hungarian Kingdom and the modern Hungary, there are often temporary exhibitions. Even a quick visit to this iconic monument is worth it.

The Great Synagogue

The magnificent main synagogue in the heart of Budapest is the largest European synagogue, and the second largest in the world. A World Heritage site for its outstanding value.

The complex includes the Memorial and the Jewish Museum, just at the border of the former Jewish quarter. It is next to the Gozsdu Court, that is also worth exploring in the evening, full of nice places and popular ruin-pubs springing up.

Great Market Hall & the Danube river

The very busy Great Market Hall is an old indoor market, where you can get get in touch with local people, tasting and buy all sorts of made in Hungary goods and fresh food. Definitely one of the top tourist attractions.

The old Market Hall is just next to the Danube River and the famous shopping Váci street. Crossing the bordering bridge, just at the other side of the river you can get to one of the most popular historic thermal bath of Budapest, the Gellért Bath.
